Jesus Christ. Aishief ruined it for us. A generally well-done documentary, ruined by that Jerkoff sending a dick pic to the producer. Literally an SNL skit or Southpark episode, except real life. 🤦🏻♂️ 🤦🏻♂️ 🤦🏻♂️

What the hell was he thinking at the end of the video? Ridiculous. You wonder if this person even has a mind at all. Talk about shooting yourself in the foot.
The comments section is filled with a lot of contempt and hate for “sex offenders.” This segment definitely could have picked a more, shall I say, penitent set of characters.
Also, 1. No mention that the sex offender population is almost one million; and 2. That a child is now more likely to eventually have to register as a sex offender, than to be victimized by one. These seem like preposterous facts that would have any sane mind question the legitimacy of the sex offender registry. Notwithstanding the fact that the registry relies on a bogus set of statistics, in Smith v. Doe, to begin with. So it isn’t even Constitutional!
Because they can.

This video has a lot of Controversy to it. Its like a stigma of Dead Man Walking and to think that movie won an Oscar. That’s your society today. If killing isn’t bad enough. What a confederate type of conspiracy. A confidence game that men seem to play for their truth and justice for all. Prevention is one thing and protection is another. Counseling is good if its effective.
I was kicked out of my counseling because of Christian views, some double talk of being a type of conscientious objecting or whatever.. Seems like authorities or counselors want you to admit that one is sex prone. One can word it anyway they want when truth comes to fiction. Re-offending is like I a miscarriage of justice to meet their goals.I doubt that people that have served actually want to get into a sting ordeal twice.
Even this internet sting issue has a few bugs in it but the bottom line is that authorities cajole one into this game. I remember my English teacher using that word to the class and the meaning means a lot in this registry type game. Government is very good at that.. to get elected, to defraud others, or to defer judgement.
SIGH. And NOW look what happened: One of the guys interviewed just sent a picture of his penis to one of the VICE producers, esentially UNDERMINING EVERY SINGLE THING that would help us! …
This is why I don’t agree with completely abolishing the registry because of people like Aishief, even after all I’ve been through, as a Parent and possibly one day a grandparent people like this guy are completely dangerous.
There’s no doubt in my mind he thought he was sending that pic to the anchor, misinterpreting her kindness as maybe she was possibly into him, second how the hell can you argue against DNA.
As for the documentary it’s self , it was Just another low hanging fruit documentary with the word sex offenders in it for Clickbait.
If you notice all the people they interviewed in the documentary, were all older men in there late 20’s and up, they did not show not one youth offender, they didn’t show not one teenager put on the registry, they didn’t show not 1 female who was placed on the registry, they didn’t interview any rich celebrity sex offenders, they didn’t interview any teen sex offenders who come from rich families, they didn’t interview anybody who owns their home or started their own business or just a productive member of society, they didn’t interview the guys family who lost his life trying to stop a mass shooter, BasicallyThe Whole Documentary was BS.
That’s why when I go public i’ll be strategic about who I interview and who I’m representing, I’ll be working with youth offenders place on the registry for dating other teenagers and helping people find housing and employment and also organizing community activity’s every two or three months so PFR aren’t isolated from society for to long and be around people who understand their pain.
As for the California District Attorney’s Office idk they’re too powerful in court 😡
Sheriff James Mendrick is clueless and/or a liar. He is the kind of incompetent government employee who is fleecing us taxpayers who are supporting the country.
What a great example of why law enforcement needs serious defunding. What a waste of resources.
I’ll continue to help ensure that these law enforcement criminals are as dysfunctional as they can possibly be. Their “laws” are impotent. I’ll prove it every day.
This is a great documentary which should be watched by most people including both victims and perpetrators. Although what Aishief did was wrong (photo), that one act doesn’t negate the real life portrayal of life on the registry. It does not set back our community five steps.
Janice you know something. While the video gave some of the obstacles many face with this ordeal such as a rape conviction ordeal or the domestic abuse its the after prison and the stipulations one has to abide by. While the video was good it was a bit inhumane. Course that obscene pic was a bit shameful for the person to do sent the interviewer. Guess it was his way of making a statement.
Now rape is one thing and an internet sting is another. Who is betraying who in an abusive way? or who is setting up who. Janice the guidelines are not there for the sting operations. So tell us who has dominion over who.
Sure we all have government but is government following the guidelines in many respects? Sex issues are personal and at times authorities more or less set up people in these operations in many ways.
